Service
My Cafe Diary stores your personal visit records. It does not use a dedicated diary password or encryption. Your diary stays in this device's browser. You are responsible for managing your device, browser and backups.
Cafe details
We use OpenStreetMap cafe data and information added by the administrator. OpenStreetMap data is provided under theODbL license. We do not guarantee that cafe information is current or complete. Check opening hours and other details with the cafe. Public cafe photos are added after the administrator checks usage rights and are separate from users' private photos.

Estimated address sources
Some addresses marked Street number unknown are estimated from neighborhood reference points in Geolonia Japanese Addresses, based on Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism location reference data. An estimated address may refer to a nearby neighborhood.

Photos and memories
Use only photos you have the right to use. A smaller copy is saved; the original is not stored or linked. Each entry supports up to six JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, each up to 50MB and 60 megapixels. If your device cannot process a photo, choose a smaller one. Diaries have no public viewing feature. Sharing includes the cafe name and its page on this site, plus any thoughts and photos you select. Check what will be published at your sharing destination.
Sharing and prohibited uses
Do not use this service to spread damaging statements about cafes, their operators or employees. Defamation, insults, false or misleading statements, and uses intended to harm their reputation or credibility are prohibited.
Keep complaints, negative ratings and other negative comments in your private diary. Do not publish them on social media or other media accessible to others using content recorded in this service or its sharing features. Sharing through this service is limited to neutral information or ratings, or positive thoughts and recommendations, that do not spread damaging statements about a cafe.
Before posting, check shared text, ratings and images and ensure they comply with these terms. You may record honest thoughts and ratings in your private diary. These terms do not prevent exercising legal rights or making legitimate inquiries or reports to cafes, public authorities or other appropriate organizations.
Storage
The initial 100MB limit automatically increases in 100MB steps as needed, subject to available device space and browser limits. A capacity check does not guarantee future saves. An error is shown if there is insufficient storage.
Deleting and backing up
You can delete individual items or delete all data with two confirmations. Deletion applies to this browser's diary on this device. Original photos and downloaded backups are unchanged. If a storage problem prevents deletion, follow the displayed instructions to retry.
Local data may be lost if browser site data is cleared or your device fails. Back up regularly. We cannot recover personal records because they are not stored on our server.
Automated access and bulk collection
We do not intend to prevent ordinary search indexing, references needed for AI answers to user questions, introductions with source links, or normal browsing.
Unauthorized bulk collection or republication of data containing our original information, copying all or a substantial part of the database, circumventing access controls, and access that disrupts the service are prohibited, whether or not automation or AI is used.
This does not restrict rights granted by third-party licenses, including the license for OpenStreetMap data. Distribution of OpenStreetMap-derived data is distinguished from protection of our original and administrative information.
Access protection
We may temporarily limit access when bulk collection is suspected. We aim to avoid disrupting normal use, but do not guarantee perfect classification or complete prevention of unauthorized collection.
